Hi. I'm Tim. Welcome to Journeys of Jack Tripper!
Why Jack Tripper? A few reasons. The late John Ritter was freakin' awesome, and we had the same birthday. So I always admired his character on
Three's Company, and when I moved here to Florida in 2004 I lived in a house with two gorgeous sisters: a smart, sensible brunette and a ditzy blonde. It just seemed to work.
I'm a maverick doctoral student and occasional musician/comic. My music can be listened to and downloaded
here. I also have a
myspace and a
music myspace. Check 'em out.
Where am I from? I'm a Florida resident since August 2004 (in New Tampa until July 2006, and the Countryside area of Pinellas since). Before that, I lived in Zanesville, OH; Ann Arbor, MI; Athens, OH; Tiffin, OH; and Napoleon, OH born and raised.
I am and will always be an Ohioan, no matter how much they let me down in this and any future elections.

For the four years before I moved to the Sunshine State, I coached a speech and debate team and was a professor at a small liberal arts college in eastern Ohio. It was nice. Now I'm a doctoral student at the University of South Florida in the communication department, focusing on American contemporary cultural traditions.
I spent several years teaching public speaking and poetry performance in a prison, and I'll be writing about that someday as well.
I like my Volkswagens and Macs and I own a house in Ohio which is
for sale (no it's not i sold it on new year's eve 2004). I play the
Yamaha P-80 piano and the
Wechter Pathmaker guitar.
I'm morally bankrupt. I like my beer Labatt, my bourbon Evan Williams, and keep a fully-stocked winerack, though I don't really drink wine that often. If you like wine, email me, come visit, we'll drink heavily.
